Juan C. Porras - QA Unit Manager
Juan Carlos applies his extensive project management experience in the strategic oversight and coordination of numerous projects, ensuring they are executed successfully. He also formed Avantica's QA Division and only months later, developed various metrics including statistics and quality control which helped the company see record results in project management. Juan Carlos also played a critical role in many of Avantica's breakthrough projects both for clients and for the company, including Avantica's creation of software solutions which are now being used by 11 financial banks in Costa Rica.
Juan Carlos has over 19 years experience in systems development and database architecture, including the systems development for the financial and pension fund sector of many institutions in Latin America. Prior to joining Avantica Technologies, Juan Carlos worked as an international consultant with Canadian and E.U.A companies in the worldwide micro-finance sector, developing and implementing projects for many countries in Latin America and Africa. Juan Carlos has a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Costa Rica. He keeps a work-life balance by deep sea diving and enjoying music.
